Chef Shoes created a new topic ' new tyres - need fast rolling xc tyre' in the forum.bout 4yrs ago i rebuilt a bike and i got maxxis minions on it cos they looked cool.. very good in the mud but useless on the road or any gravelly surface or even hard packed trail as they arent the best for speed.
so now i run a HT and want something more fast rolling with the emphasis on local trails like cannock/llandegla/gisburn/7stanes which are all well maintained trails.. i do the occasional "off the beaten track" but they are all grassy and fairly well drained except for the occasional muddy bit.
soo with this in light i need some suggestions please. its a 26" wheel btw not a new modern fancy trendy 29
i dont run tubeless either
oh and im not minted so expensive ones are the stuff of dreams
ta muchly
