Folks, The idea for this community was born on Jan 25th 2007. It launched around 6 months later and has grown from strength to strength.We are coming up to our two year anniversary soon.

I often re-consider my motivations for the site... it goes a bit like this

• We are a site by riders for riders
• We stand for welcoming riders into the sport through encouragement and genuine friendship
• I love talking about biking, bikers and bikes and this site gives me amongst others an opportunity to share our passion.
• We use the latest leading edge web tools tools not as gimmicks but as a means to grow knowledge, confidence and share stories
• We believe in helping others and ourselves to push our riding boundaries
• We are committed to working to create opportunities for youth from all socio economic backgrounds to have access to this sport
• What we have is special and quite unique. We are defined as a site by the amalgamation of personalities and friendships that grow stronger off the site as much as on. No other site can say that and you should all be very proud.
• With  a little publicity / sponsorship we could grow the site 100 fold.

It all cost and more with investment comes new adventures...so if a brand out there who believes in the site, our ethos and what we stand for wants to wave a magic wand and at amazing return to them drive sponsorship or as good if not better some publicity to us then fantastic..

If people from the community want to work to contact potential sponsors, partners, retailers and advertisors or maybe drive potential publicity from link swaps to events on iBikeride's behalf then wonderful..

If developers and IT folks out there want to take on the management of the infrasatructure then brill (I really hate this bit 

If members want to take on more of core back end publishing and editorial to keep the site fresh daily then ace.

If there are any suggestions then great.
