We arrived at my folks on (06.09.09) Saturday afternoon, to a lot of sniffles and sneezes. Great! What a weekend we’re going to have! But What a Weekend we did have.

The Christening on Sunday went without fault, even the rain held off till the evening.  My poor niece though. All the kids had been playing in the back garden on the bouncy castle and trampoline, running across the grass that was wet from the night before. Getting bored with the outside entertainment, they all piled into the house; Muddy footprints throughout the house! She truly has the patience of a Saint. I would have strung them up and told parents to take them home.

All in all her youngest that was being Christened, (Carly) looked absolutely gorgeous in her christening frock. What a doll! The cake looked fantastic, have got pics so will put some on at another time.

On Monday morning we set off from my folks for a ride at Lee Quarry, it only took us 10 minutes to cycle there. We had a great time, if it had of been drier I may have got a little braver; but as my confidence isn’t that great and the ground was wet I played safe and stuck to the main route. We went round twice and on the last section where the table top jumps are, I actually got some air between my bike and the ground; I squealed like a big kid. Hehe! Lots of fun was had that morning.

My folks were feeling worse than ever that day so me and Keven went out for dinner alone, trying not to get their collective colds. The pub we set out to go to was closed when we got there. Flaming Typical!  Had to eat at another down the road, wasn’t bad, but have had better.

That evening was spent in the garden with my Great nephew, playing catch, then football; firstly Keven and my Great Nephew were playing football until my nephew got bored so I took over. Haven’t laughed so much in a long time, I was in tears. At least we entertained my niece and great nephew.

Set off back home (09.09.09) Tuesday morning, taking with us the collective colds from my family. boy and we’ve got work on Wednesday.

Back to reality!!

Didn't go to work for the rest of the week. Flaming colds!!!!
