Green Oil luxury wood Bicycle Brush.
Other Kit
Green Oil UK launch world’s first FSC certified luxury wood Bicycle Brush. The Green Oil Bicycle Brush is a totally different brush. The Green Oil Bicycle Brush is a luxury item, made for today’s rider desiring quality and has multiple bike cleaning uses
Simon is sending us over one to test so I'll review once I have this and given it a go.
FSC Certified The Bicycle Brush is made from quality wood and the bristles are plant based. The wooden handle is Forestry Stewardship Council (FSC) certified, so for every tree cut, another is planted in its place.
The Bicycle Brush is specifically made from the rubber tree, which has a natural 5 year cycle. Multi use The Green Oil Bicycle Brush has special bristles. They are strong enough for chain and sprocket cleaning, yet soft enough for anodized parts and most bicycle frames. The Bicycle Brush also has ultra long bristles for hard to reach areas, and for getting deep between those sprocket cogs. The handle can even be used to clean derailleur cogs. This replaces the need for a claw brush, chain cleaning device, tooth brush, wheel cleaning and spoke brush, with one Bicycle Brush. Chain cleaning and claw brush The unique bristles are soft when soaked in water, yet go back to their original shape when dry.
The Bicycle Brush can be used to vigorously scrub a bicycle chain, rinsed and dried out with the bristles returning back to their original straightness. The bristles are uniquely long enough to penetrate every gap in most sprocket sets. The Bicycle Brush therefore also replaces the need for a claw brush. Cog spike for derailleur cog cleaning The ‘cog spike’ at the end of the Bicycle Brush handle is designed to get into the derailleur cogs to remove any built up grime or mud. The curved yet pointed cog spike makes cog cleaning easy. Complete wheel cleaning The Bicycle Brush is shaped with wheel cleaning in mind. The bristles easily clean spokes, with the brush shape allowing the rider to get in between the spokes nicely. The ultra long bristle length makes wheel rim cleaning easy. The Bicycle Brush width matches even the beefiest tyres, to remove caked-in mud. Pure quality The Green Oil Bicycle Brush was designed and developed with the rider in mind. The Bicycle Brush has a nice weight to it, and a burly, yet ergonomic handle. It is the luxury Bike Brush that cyclists deserve. The Green Oil Bicycle Brush also has a traditional edge, being made entirely from natural materials in a traditional UK factory.
The Bicycle Brush is designed to be extremely durable. If anyone tries steal your bike you could hit them with it and the brush wouldn’t get damaged! The Green Oil brand retains its humor, with a ‘Bark Code’ featured on this wooden brush
Instructions for using the Green Oil Bicycle Brush:
1. Soak the long bristles in water before and during use to soften them.
2. Use hard on the sprocket, but soft on paint work – let the bristles do the work for you!
3. Rinse and dry out well after use, for a long Bicycle Brush life. The Green Oil Bicycle Brush will be available to bike shops and the public in August, through Green Oil UK and Upgrade Bikes. Vital statistics:
Retail price: £9.99
