My lovely 661 Cedric Garcia Gloves
Hot

So Down hill/freeride champion Cedric Garcia just won the first Urban Pro Race in Paris which holds him in good steed for the upcoming Fort William World Championships. Check out his video inside. Anyways Cedric is not why I got these 661 Cedric Gracia CG 2 Carbon 2007 gloves. I bought them because I needed something just a bit more tougher.
The downhill gloves I had were OK but they lacked a enough armour and the insides were disintegrating. I wanted something that had more knuckle and more finger protection but would not be too hot to wear.
- The Neoprene wrist cuff with TPR closure can be open and shut easily with ones teeth. A core requirement I find.
- The silicone finger grippers enable me to easily tie up and untie my laces. More I never need to take them off to do things. A core requirement too
- The vented, reinforced palm makes me get less burn holding onto my handlebars tightly. I appreciated this in Fort Bill
- The carbon fiber knuckle protection and the aggressive TPR finger protection is what made me buy them and I feel much safer when I come off
- You can throw them in the washing machine and they come out fine.
- They look cool
I should buy two pairs really ( I think you need a couple of pairs of downhill gloves anywhere when riding over consecutive days). Also I think all biking gloves rot quite quickly.
I have no idea what Cedric had to do with them really but he rides great and good luck to him
They disintegrate quickly I found

... The Cedric Gracia gloves should have been marketed to the Ballet community, what a pile of crap, used em about 4 times before stiching came undone, holes worn in palm with very little use, would not trust these to protect me. |
