Sealskinz think our winters have got colder so they have upped their game for most notably their range of gloves. There is some truth to this as according to the met office since mid-December [2009] we’ve seen some of the severest winter weather in the UK for decades. Cold air arrived from the east and north, with temperatures falling as low as -22 °C. This combined with weather fronts coming in off the North Sea to cause a series of snowfall events, as well as prolonged icy conditions

Well as they are one of the few companies that build their stuff in the UK by hand they know how cold it gets here so I think they are worth considering. They aren't cool at all but I still like them.

Revised SealSkinz Winter Cycle Glove

The Winter Cycle Glove has superb fit, dexterity and padding for colder weather use. Revised Activity Sock

The Activity Sock is ideal to wear with close fitting cycling shoes and includes an elasticated arch and ankle support for a close fit and reduced movement in the shoe. The inner is made from Merino wool for warmth, comfort and wicking performance. The waterproof breathable membrane allows perspiration to escape whilst preventing water coming in. The outer is made from knitted acrylic for extra durability, abrasion resistance and stretch-to-fit properties. The sock is mid calf length and mid weight. New Winter Handle Bar Mittens

New for 2010, this ‘lobster construction’ mitten offers the dexterity of a typical glove combined with the thermal properties of a mitten.
