Interesting new release hot on the heels of the Ragley Ti and Blue Pig hardtail frames, is the Ragley Carnegie's Bar. I'm curious about it as my wrist kills after an hour or so in the saddle and this is built for folks like me..

Key points:-

31.8mm oversize clamp for maximum stiffness and strength

7075-T6 triple butted construction for durability and strength too.

Weighs in at under 300g (just under).

Shot peened finish for stress relief

CEN tested and passed to 200,000 cycles - http://www.shedfire.com/2009/07/14/en-test-report-carnegie-test-pass/

Available from this evening, for £39.99 (UK) which at todays rates (and less the sales tax) is about $57USD.

Available from Ragley Bikes - http://www.ragleybikes.com

It's a premium product, proven under rigorous testing, and made from the best materials around.

It's design for riders wanting an alternative hand position to a regular straight bar.

We find that it offers a more comfortable hand position for riders with wrist aches or problems, offers a variety of positions for long distance riding/endurance riding, and is in a width that offers a good "elbows out" position for technical riding.

Width is 685mm tip to tip, but puts your hands effectively in the same position as my old 700mm wide bar. Geometry is 25deg sweep with a 33mm forward wiggle to keep the controls in the right sort of place. It nominally has a 38mm rise, though this is lessened a bit when you angle the bar back and down for comfort.
