After destroying a pair of XC shorts at Aston Hill I decided to invest in some decent downhill pants. XC shorts won't protect you and more they are over padded considering the limited time your butt spends on the saddle in a downhill environment. So upgrade..

The No Fear Combat Pants are well named as once on they feel strong. They look cool too. I have had a few falls in them and seen no damage. They feel sturdy yet are light so they give you good versatility and movement whilst on the bike. They have detachable legs for all year round riding turning neatly into shorts which is really handy. The adjustable ratchet buckling system makes them easily adaptable as your waist changes shape throughout the seasons so post Xmas riding is less depressing as they will still fit SMILEYS_WINK

Only negative is the inner lining on the very big and (potentially) useful pockets went after a few months but this may have been my keys rattling around doing the damage. For around £30 not bad.

Here's what they say..
A great new design for the all round rider
• Over the boot design with zip off removable lower legs,
• Internal boot gators
• Two over sized cargo pockets
• Full length mesh liner and an adjustable ratchet buckling system.

Like the detachable legs

Not a bad buy

User Review

Good Points
you have full leg for winter and deatchable legs for summer. Super tough. taken lots of hits and not ripped.
Bad Points
The inside lining of the pockets went quite early. Did not affect the safety and really you shouldn't be using your pockets for much.
