The Forest of Dean mountain bike trials have recently had some good upgrades. There is the new Verderers Blue trail (with optional red sections). It's a 7 mile trail and is good fun even if you are an intermediate rider. The Free Miner trail (formerly the FoDCA trail) is a nice little technical track despite being very short at 2.6 miles and there is a new skills loop which is great for kids and not forgetting the downhill area which has an active community.

When you manual, it is truly one of the most exhilarating feelings you can get on a mountain bike. Your front wheel is up and you are coasting along crouched over your saddle with the perfect balance point.

Waltham Forests BMX is located in Cheney Row E17. It consists of dirt based pumps & jumps with a BMX track coming soon. They are part of the Olympic Legacy.  ELBO (East London Bicycle Organisation) is the local cycling club.

Bmx-treme Bmx-club is located in Goosely Playing Fields. This pump track opened to the public in May 2011 and is an Access Sports initiative.
