Ok I've had an idea for a project to unite the London off road BMX and MTB cycling community together and create a fun and health youth focused program of activities. It's called the London Bike OffAlready there are now a pretty impressive 7 bike parks across London for MTB pump and BMX. You can find them in Brixton, Walthamstow, Greenwich, Hackney, Tottenham, Peckham and Newham. 4 of these are built through Access Sports and the Olympic Legacy and another is on it's way next year so we will be 8.
It might even lead to a few folk thinking lets build a few more of these bike parks.
Basically the London BikeOff idea is a bmx and mountain bike competition league held between April to July. Heats are held at each of the BMX and pump tracks across London.
British cycling affiliated clubs take part as part of the Go Ride racing program and there are differing categories e.g. Under 16, 16- 24, 25+ and so on
Point system for rides awarded to clubs as well as individual ranking.
Individual winner will win the League trophy. Interested?
