Hi everyone. Always has to be the first time. 
Today’s chef's special: Swinley
We went there for the first time, looking for some no places to ride as we got fed up with politics of our council and police. Also Box Hill went out of schedule - to many POWER walkers and other deers complaining about anything achieving higher speeds than their stick powered machines. It seems like no country for oldmen 
Well.. Swinley. A perfect place to jump into tights and have some good old xc. Didn't know about it and got there with my butt hanging not far away from a 3" tyre - bad luck. So instead of wind whoosh in my ears most of the time I've heard my own puffing pushing heavy metal up the hill. Good stuff anyway. Hell of a workout.
I need some spare bike. Something xc like what can go up and weights not more than my wheel.
PS. Green Yeti seen in Swinley forest. Who owns it?

... Sweet post. I did 45 mins in Swinley this week just after a meeting in those parts, whilst passing through. Not long to get in a ride and got totally lost but it is singletrack heaven so it doesn't really matter. Welcome to the site. Hope you can make the meet on the 2nd March Swinley way. |
