Coed y Brenin is renowned as the first mountain bike trail centre and still today is felt to be one of the best. Part of the reason for that is their continued investment. Recently we reported on the new investment in the local visitor centre, bike shop and hire facilities currently being constructed to be able to cope with rising visitor numbers and today we can tell you that a new Freeride bike bark area is currently in construction and will be built for Summer 2013!
This new skills area at Coed y Brenin will be allow you to try out and improve your bike handling skills on a variety of technical trail features. Features will be clearly graded so you can decide which grade is right for you.
The diggers are already out in force and the foundation as you can see are going in for the free ride zone. It will snake down the slope with 8 bermed turns and plenty of features to get your fix in the air. There is also a drop off zone and a single track zone. All planned for summer 2013. Looking forward to ripping it up.
If you have seen some of the developments, have a bit more knowledge on what will be on offer then we would love to hear your thoughts. You can find the full trail details of all that is on offer at Coed Y Brenin at the listing here: Coed y Brenin Mountain Bike Trail Centre
