Last ride at Dalby Forest

Once again I'm heading back to Dalby Forest this weekend and it will proberbly be the last time I visit this trail center this year.  I love Dalby when it is dry, when its wet the place can eat your bikes working parts in minutes due to the sandy top surface of most of the trail.  But this weekends weather looking good.

There should be a good turn out this weekend, hopefully around 8-12 of us from my website www.mtbguisborough.ning.com.   A mixed bag of riders,  a couple of experienced enduro riders, a few weekend warriors and a handfull of beginners.  We will set out together but proberbly end up riding the red route in groups and meet in various points of the 23 miles route.

This is one of the reasons I set up a website, to get riders together of all different levels of experience.  When I first started mountain biking I felt slightly intimedated by experienced riders on expensive bikes frowning upon my cheap bike and lack of skills and fitness.  With the website I set out to welcome everyone and it seems to be working.  I've made some great friends through the website and mountain biking.  And this weekend will bring us all together to share  aching legs, cuts, bruises and a really good laugh while riding and often falling off around a great trail center.

For those who have not been to Dalby forest the red route it offers 23 miles of single track in sections through forest, moors and grassy valleys.  Each section seems different with loads of berms, drop offs, small jumps and many other little treats on the way round.

Will post a blog and some photos after the weekend.
