Not a trail centre!. A complete package of pre planned and packaged routes makes it easy to get the best from the natural trail network in this outstandingly wild and beautiful area.

Ride open forests, struggle up loose and steep climbs, weave down some wonderful descents and find some of the most steepest and challenging drops. Whether you want bone shaking moorland or gentle spins through stunning countryside you’ll find it in the Brecon Beacons.

In order for you to plan your visit, all the routes start and finish at one of the 5 major mountain bike centres called hubs. The rides are also graded to help you in selecting the right route for the day and your own riding fitness/ability

Find out more at the official Mountain Biking Brecon Beacons website: http://www.mtbbreconbeacons.co.uk/

The original Mach 1-3 trails take you as far out into the wilderness as you want to go on natural, but no less challenging trails. Meanwhile the more recent cli-machx trail winds you high into Dyfi forest before firing you down superbly technical singletrack descents that seem to go on forever.

Black Mountain Route

The route was a three up and down over three mountains. First time I did it I got lost ran out of daylight and had to head back unfinished on road. Went back a few months later, determined and with more time (start early..) and nailed it. Awesome

User Review

Good Points
Sweeping natural trails with miles and miles of singletrack, gnarly natural rocky descents. Beautiful lakes and woods. All you could ask for really.
Bad Points
Not waymarked so easy to get lost.. take a map, compass, supplies, a positive attitude and a mate.
Would you recommend?
