I wrote to the Newhall guys again asking what they were planning on using the pland for as they had refused the request to turn it into a bike park..
Their response below gives me more hope in the sense that I now have a new contact the "Residents Association" to negotiate with. I will see if people who actually live on the estate can give me a better introduction into the residency association as it is formed

The story continues and is not yet over. I'm looking to arrange a local petition next. Went down to the local Newhall woods "The Fifty" today to try my hand at building with some of the guys who ride there locally.
Been dry the last few days so the ground was tough. We got built a good lip and then supported it with a big tree trunk. Filled the middle with logs and planks and stones and filled it with earth.
Good fun and still needs a bot more filling in but our enthusiasm drained a bit as
