Just had a week off with my daughter and some friends in the Cotswolds. All very chilled. I had left my bike behind as there was no space in the car and recently my car bike rack had come off in transit and bent badSMILEYS_SAD ! So I had no biking in mind whatsoever and was happy thinking (or talking my myself happy) to just spending time walking and doing watersports on the lake with family and friends!

Cwmcarn Mountain Bike Centre: By remote chance, I was given opportunity of a free Saturday, should I do housework and shopping or push my luck with a third weekend in a row ride…??? Gave Tomks a call to see if he was free and discussed a Purbeck Hill jaunt. We hadn’t been for quite a time and the weather forecast was good. So yet another 4.30am up and out and on the road. Both set for the rolling hills of Dorset we set off. Only to change our minds on the approach to the M3, with a grin and that look of adventure, we continued to the M4... Cwmcarn here we come!!

I've ridden recreationally at Swinley Forest a couple of times with the iBikeRide crew. There's some fantastic and challenging riding to be found there, and it's now become my favourite place to ride around London.

Today was a great daySMILEYS_SMILE. First real taste of desert riding! I rode a Mongoose with a shorter stem than my stumpjumper and I preferred it as it gave more cornering control. It actually a cool bike that is loads of fun. I might do a seperate write up on it.

Yo did the Aston Hill, xc course yesterday. Good to see that the place is still busy, alive and kicking. I was feeling a lot more confident on my bike and was able to pick up a bit more speed than my first ride out at Chicksands the day before.

Definetly need to focus on my fitness mind SMILEYS_WINK

Also spoke to Paul who is sponsored by the course owners and has been doing what maintenance he could do over the last year and I am looking forward to going to the meeting tonight with the Forestry commission and Buckinghma bikes (new owners). Seems a lot of

So 3 months back the docs told me that the break in my arm (the radius) was bad. After they Xray'd they told me that the break was so bad that I would lose 40% of wrist movement and that I would never be able to mtb ride again as I would have no thrust movement to lift my front wheel. They shoved in a big nasty Titanium plate and I left determined to challenge this.

Last night I went for a gentle ride through the filed of Harlow. Nothing
