Havok Bike Park (formerly Cockhill Bike Park) is a mountain bike facility in the Pennine Valley in Todmorden, Cornholme (on the border of Yorkshire and Lancashire). There are red graded downhill runs, a freeride section and dirt jumps. Booking is essential as there is limited parking. They also in 2015 launched a new black, a dirt Jump line and a freeride taster line and are kicking off running some events ie Downhill racing, dirt jump competitions and something similar to a slopestyle fest

It closed temporarily in November 2015 and re-opened with a new name and set up on May 28th, 2016 as Havok Bike Park.

Havok Bike Park currently has two downhill trails, three freeride trails and a dirt jump set. It's a push-up bike park. Check the Facebook page for prices and opening.

The Red Run

  • There is a 1.4 km red downhill run with different options and lines that take around 3 mins to complete. The push-up is on grass (there is no uplift).
  • Red trail "Medusa" is nice and flowy with the odd rocky section and rollable jumps thrown in to keep you on your toes. The track has berms, drops, jumps, rock gardens and north shore. The top is known as Snakes and Ladders and is tight and twisty and incorporates north-shore.  Then it follows into a rocky descent onto a steep rooty section before you hit large jumps and berms. That's just a taster as there is lots more including rocky berms, step jumps and a gap jump.

Freeride Section

  • There is a freeride section made up of an extreme skills line. Takes around a minute to dial and is full of jumps, drops, gaps, doubles and big whips.
  • There is also a smaller freeride taster line.

Dirt Jump Section

  • The Dirt Jump Line includes a 180° berm, step ups and jumps of various sizes.

Black

  • The Black trail "The Beast", named after the Beast of Bernshaw is natural, rooty, rutty and always wet to test your technical ability on a bike.

Membership

  • Check the Facebook page, for booking, membership, prices and opening

Other Stuff

  • All riders must sign a Participation Statement and obtain a pass before riding the track.
  • Parking is available in the quarry area in the forest at weekends between 10 and 5 but the gates must be closed behind you so that the farmer's sheep don't escape.

Share

  • If you have ridden the tracks at Havok Bike Park then why not share your experiences and post a short review, favourite the listing or post some pictures or videos to the listing.

Good Points
Great bike park for intermediate riders and above , red mostly rollable ,black less so . Insane free ride line with huge features for the experienced rider. What really makes this place stand out are the staff tho ? Extremely friendly , experienced riders make sure you take the time to have a chat to Matthew , Cath and the other guys . Great value for money .

A great place to help build and maintain your skills. The red is flowing and has some nice rolling jumps, berms, gaps, drops or you can ride around these, with 2 different routes to take on the second section after the fireroad and 2 different routes to finish the last section. Black route is gnarly and technical. There is a freeride section with beginner, intermediate and expert runs, all helping to develop your skills. Take your full face and get padded up. There is a breakout area at the hut under cover to sit down and have your food and drink and the obligatory portaloo. The trails are well maintained and run by well informed and friendly staff. £10 for a days run and £5 for half a day, well worth the money which goes back into helping keep this place well maintained. Saturday and Sunday opening only as the staff have day jobs, they run this place for the love of riding.

Good Points
Well kept trails
Friendly staff
Fast flowing downhill trails and freeride section
Great place to build skill levels
Bad Points
Push up to the start of the downhill can be muddy and a long slog
First 10 metres of the downhill could do with sorting out as it is very muddy.
Off road to the parking is a bit rough

Hands down the sickest place I’ve rode in the uk, was lucky enough to get a guided tour by Brad while it was closed mid week. Big ups to all the lads involved always keeping trails maintained and creating new stuff! Can’t fault it

There’s always a really great atmosphere regardless of the weather and the team are very friendly & welcoming to all - this was the most technical place I’d ever ridden the first time I went and I received nothing but encouragement and advice!

Good Points
It’s a great place for progression, there’s a huge variety of features. I only ride the downhill lines but the free ride is massive, really well maintained and seems to have people traveling for miles to ride it!
Bad Points
The access road can be hard work to get up if the weather has been particularly bad, and also pushing up to the top of the DH lines can be quite boggy in places but for the gradient of the park it’s to be expected.
