Brixton BMX track in Brockwell Park in South London is a National sized BMX track where you can roll over everything but is also good for developing skills and progressively pumping, manualing and taking jumps. It has a flat starting ramp and 4 lines taking you back to the start. It has recently had some decent investment to built up the jumps and reinforce the big berms.
The club is now run by A'D MARTIN. A'D runs and coaches in the club on Saturday and Sunday morning 10 -12. They compete throughout the country with over 70 riders.
It has a long history pioneered by Ken Floyde (still involved). Ken campaigned and started Brixton cycling club in 1981 and he is is known as "BMX man down in Brixton" and he has been pivotal in developing other bike parks like campaigning to get the seeds of Lordship Loop off the ground in Tottenham where he grew up.
Brockwell Park itself is your typical big London park and contains a number of amenities, including tennis courts, a bowling green, the BMX track and a miniature railway. It has just had an impressive upgrade being built up and reinforced.
