Fantastic Alps Holiday base

I've used Les Gets a few times now as an Alps holiday base. Once to do the Portes du Soleil and then back a few years after just to redo the best bits. It's a great base and a neat town. Close also to it's sister site Morzine. The trails here are grin inducing and fast. It's hard not to fall in love with the place.

Good points:

Fantastic trails for every ability and great facilities in town.

Bad points:

Can get busy and breaking bumps.

Endless trails, huge jumps and very sore hands!

If you're looking for somewhere to stay for a week or longer that is going to still be offering new trails to explore come the end of the week, then this is the place for you.  The Les Gets Airline is worth a look but definitely more of a pro plus run!

Good points:

Les Gets is fantastic for Downhillers with several man made courses featuring berms, banks, tunnels, jumps and northshore, the area also appeals to the Cross Country bikers with a staggering 400 miles of bike trails offering some of the best Cross Country and Down Hill Mountain Biking in the Alps.

Bad points:

Some of the trails have high usage and therefore get worn down quickly with lots of breaking bumps.  There are a team of people actively working on the trails to repair and build new trails.
