What a brilliant day! 'Skip' led my friends and I on an absolute beginners trip for my Stag Do. This was perfect as none of us had any previous mountain biking experience, and Skip is an able teacher. After some safety pointers and practicing the basics in an open area, we made our way to the top of Holmbury Hill and then went down again much quicker - safely, but enjoying every moment of it! A memorable part of my wedding celebrations, and a great way to catch up with old mates. Thank you so much Skip!
Did a MTBing 1 to 1 with Skip this week, and I have come away bouncing! He's super patient, explains everything so clearly and despite me being such a big wuss, I felt really safe. I was even happy to attempt "scary stuff" as Skip developed all my skills to make it happen. The session has really boosted my confidence, I came away so inspired and can't recommend a session enough! You'll be flying! :D
A great Father's Day present - I have been mountain biking for years but never had any coaching like this - really improved my control of the bike, my speed downhill, particularly around the technical parts of the woods - all whist having a good laugh.....very highly recommend!
Subsequent to an accident whilst out riding my mountain bike on the trails amongst the Surrey Hills (it was my fourth ride out and I ran out of talent), my wife bought me a 2 hour skills voucher with Scott as a birthday gift. It has to be one of the best birthday presents I've ever had. Scott is a great guy and makes you feel at ease in no time. I was impressed with Scotts ability to articulate and demonstrate in such a way that it makes it very easy to understand what he is asking of you which means you get to maximum your time and ultimately maximum what you learn from Scott. What I took away with me after my 2 hours was incredibly valuable. I quickly established that I've been doing it all wrong, right down to my positioning, my braking, my line of vision, pretty much everything. Thanks to Scott I now feel far more confident and far more comfortable on my bike, so much so that I feel I can now begin to explore the full potential of my bike and enjoy my time on the trails so much more. If you are new to mountain biking or if you are planning to take up mountain biking, I would seriously recommend that you buy some time with Scott and avoid making the same mistakes I made and get a head start by learning from a master instead of learning the hard way. Great job Scott and thank you for your expert tuition.
I honestly can say I was a doubter about this when my wife booked it for me, but what a great day. After a couple of hours with Scott (skip) I was flying down some technical flowing single tracks with good drops and burms. In fact at this weekends mtb race I clicked fastest on strava downhill section for that day!! Just need to get faster up hill!!! I'm going back to SHAC for more!!
All round excellent tuition and guiding - would strongly recommend SHAC!
