The GAP (Glencullen Adventure Park) Bike Park, is 15 mins from Dublin in the Republic of Ireland. It opened in July 2017 has been built by the Back on Track trail building team led by Rowan Sorrell who also built BikePark Wales so the pedigree is high. It is a gravity progressive bike park. There are 12 trails for all abilities in two zones ranging from blue through to black with two pro lines.
There is also the more recent new addition to the trail grading spectrum of Plus. NB a trail with the additional Plus grading features a high frequency of bike park style features such as jumps, drops or gaps that require, or actively encourage, a rider’s wheels to leave the ground.
The facility will also have bike hire, uplift, café, toilets and parking. Pre booking is essential (day pass or uplift and day pass options).
The first zone is smooth and flowing with blue and red trails, a dual slalom and some red and black jump lines. The second zone is zone is a more technical zone with steeper, rockier mix of Red and Black more natural feeling stuff.
