Ae Forest Mountain Bike Trails

Ae Forest mountain bike trail centre is part of the 7stanes network and is found between Nithsdale and Annandale in Dumfries and Galloway in South West Scotland.

These trails cater to all abilities from families, to technical MTB trail riders through to great runs for an already long-established downhill community. It has a café and a bike shop that does bike hire and servicing as well as an uplift service.

Cross Country Trails

• There are 3 cross country routes, a green, blue and a red

The Ae Valley Route - Green

• The Ae Valley route for families (9km long)

Larch View - Blue 

• The Larch View route with more of a forest feel (13.5km)

The Ae Line - Red 

• The Ae Line – Technical with a famous Omega Man descent full of drops and jumps. (24km)

Downhull Runs

• There are two main downhill tracks
•  Contact Adrenalin Uplift for more details and booking of the uplift service.

Shredder- Orange

• Shredder – Great for newbies to downhill (1km)

  AE Downhill- Orangel

  • AE Downhill- Rocky and gnarly (1.6km) with drop-offs. Includes the infamous 22 ft Coffin Jump. This is a competition-level course.

  Natural Trails

  • There are considerable natural trails on offer in the surrounding area
