Torridon Mountain bike trails and routes are some of the most epic natural Singletrack technical tough riding you could put on your bucket list of must ride destinations.

It is located in the Cairngorms National Park in the Highlands  of Scotland Expect rocky slabs, miles of descents, tough climbs (hike your bike required at times) and fast, technical, gnarly, rocky descents wrapped in an epic remote and dramatic scenic setting.

The rides and circuits here are long often between 4 -7 hours so fitness is key.

Remote epic Scottish mountains. Best natural mountain biking in the uk and to rival a lot of places in the world. This is remote, so you MUST carry everything you need to maintain your bike and also survive yourself for 24hours if things go wrong(1.25000 map and knowing how to re-section your location is a skill you should have)The weather is highly changeable so even on hot summers days at sea level carrying warm clothing and water proofs is a must. Let some one know where you are going (route card) and eta. A high level of bike fitness is required for the climbs and to enjoy the descents with a good level of technical ability. I spend at least 2 weekends a month riding here as I live in loch carron and have extensive knowledge of the area. It is truly one of the top natural riding locations in Europe but needs to be respected. The only place I know of in the uk with a 2500ft ascent and descent in one go! Good pubs food and ale at applecross and torridon.
