A beautiful place to ride bikes. Great facilities. Superb place for less experienced riders as it's not too technical. Maybe not the place for really competent riders but excellent for kids etc.

Good Points
Fantastic blue run - my son had an amazing time - so much so we went round 3 times. Huge grins on faces. Fabulous cakes afterwards and great service. I broke my QR collar on the 1st lap and the bike hire guy loaned me one until we were done.

Rode this for the first time in August. Loved it, still grinning thinking about it. Blue run is so fast and flowing while the red run tests the stamina on the climb but it's worth it when you reach the top. Can't wait to go back again!!

Staying on site would be a bonus. A camping area would be good even if it was within a few miles of the centre.

User Review

Good Points
The trail centre has plenty of parking on site and the staff are always welcoming.
The trails themselves have enough features to keep riders of all skills happy and the pump track is a great way to get warmed up before you start.
I had a need for some technical help with my bike on the last visit and the staff were more than happy to help.
The cafe menu is varied and well priced with a good slab of cake available too.
Bad Points
None really, it's a pity the trails are an hour and a half from home but that's the price you pay for living in Aberdeen.

Great place to spend the day on your mountain bike, love the fast trails on the red route and the odd jump and obstacle thrown in, brilliant! Nice little flowing section at the start to get you going. Good food at the cafe afterwards too. I've been to many trail centres and this is definitely my favourite! All the Methlick Cycle Challenge guys love it.

Apart from Glentress and Les Arcs in France this is one of the best I've visited... Good climb up to the top of the Red route and its flows lovely all the way down to the Cafe... Some good humps n jumps stuck in for good measure too...  Cafe is excellent with superb food....

Would be even better if there were camping facilities near by...

I rode here earlier this year to introduce my wife to trail centre riding while we were on a short break near Aviemore. It was easy enough to find after doing a bit of online research and the drive to get there was interesting if a little slow. The facilities are great and the staff very friendly and helpful (being happy to offer advice). We rode the blue trail together and my wife loved the flowing cruisy nature of the trail (and I enjoyed it too) then while she read her book and enjoyed the coffee and cakes back at the cafe I headed out on my own to ride the red route. It doesn't flow like the blue route but does give you the work out you'd be looking for in a red graded circuit with plenty of harder black graded features thrown in to test you (all with chicken lines if you want to avoid them). All in all a great wee centre that deserves success and is well worth a visit.

The blue trail flows superbly well, the Coffee Still cafe has great eats and drinks with friendly staff with the pump track right outside for spectating. The whole place has a great, friendly feel.
Bad Points

was there on a beautiful sunny day and the ride through the woods on the blue was superb. My kids loved the pump track and both had a great time doing the blue (age 5 & 8). Be prepared for some walking/moaning on the climbs as they are quite long for the younger ones. Climb to the top of the red worthwhile for the view alone. Long flowing and fast decent huge fun but watch out for some of the narrow sections - I got caught out on a simple section by clipping the edge!

Good Points

Fantastic trail centre for beginners all the way up to racers, not Fort Bill techy downhill but a great place to hone your skills or even start from the bottom and build up a passion for this great sport. Great news that the Scottish Enduro Series is coming to Glenlivet in June for the 3rd round in 2015. Season pass for car parking is well worth the money if you are a regular.

Good Points
The Glenlivet trails (particularly the red trail) are simply some of the most fun trails I have ever ridden. After a fairly long but not overly hard climb, the downhill is so fast but very well made and laid out so that there's no scary stuff, just flat out fun that will give you a cheesy grin on your face the whole way down.
The cafe is also worth a mention. Really good food, freindly staff and just what you need after smashing the trails.
Bad Points
If you like big, gnarly downhill trails this probably isn't for you. Although, you'd probably still have a great time there's nothing very technical or challenging.
