Brixton BMX track in Brockwell Park in South London is a small BMX track where you can roll over everything but is also good for developing skills and progressively pumping, manualing and taking small jumps.

The club is now  run by A'D MARTIN. A'D runs and coaches in the club on Saturday and Sunday morning 10 -12. They compete throughout the country with over 70 riders.

It has a long history pioneered by Ken Floyde (still involved). Ken campaigned and started Brixton cycling club in 1981 (that's 30 years running) and he is is known as "BMX man down in Brixton" and he has been pivotal in developing other bike parks like campaigning to get the seeds of Lordship Loop off the ground in Tottenham where he grew up.

Brockwell Park itself is your typical big London park and contains a number of amenities, including tennis courts, a bowling green,  the BMX track of course and a miniature railway.

It has just had an impressive upgrade being built up and reinforced.

If you have ridden this BMX track at Brockwell Park then why not share your experiences with us and add some pics or vids or even write a short review?

I popped down for a few hours on my Nukeproof snap and had a great session. Track can be hard work as on very flat surface and rollers felt very BMX focussed (bit harder on 26 inch wheels but do able)
