So, as promised we ventured to Mt. Kitheronas yesterday. After locating a couple of likely looking trails on the map, we decided to take the 4x4 and walking boots on our initial trip.  We left Nea Makri (where we live) at about 8.30am and drove to Villia near the west coast of Attika.

After waking up with an extra elbow - how could the new route finding possibly go wrong! The previous evening, Simos, Alaric and I had discussion about start point etc. We started at a point where Simos had walked a few years back, but couldn't remember how rideable it was.
