Hamsterley Forest mountain biking trails have amongst its awesome red and black trails (and not forgetting the Descend Hamsterley Bike Park) a really neat Skills Loop. The Skills Loop has needed some loving care and some decent drainage. The good news is it has just been refreshed by the volunteer community and the Hamsterley Forest Team and has now reopened.

The Skills Loop at Hamsterley is a short purpose-built 1 mile blue+ graded trail. The training loop contains features of all grades from Blue to Black (optional) so can be as easy or testing as you want it to be but great for development. It's also a great warm-up to get to know what to expect on the wider trail network.
